1. Safety Test of Monomer Battery:The extrusion test is conducted with meticulous precision following these comprehensive steps:1..1 The monomer battery is charged to full capacity as specified in the 6.1.3 method, and is then rigorously examined under the following stringent conditions:
A) Squeezing Direction:Pressure is applied perpendicularly to the direction of the battery pole plate (see Figure 1 for reference).
B) Form of the Extruded Plate:The plate has a radius of 75mm,featuring a semicircular body shape,with a semi-cylinder length (L) that exceeds the dimensions of the battery being squeezed, ensuring the highest accuracy possible.
C) Squeezing Speed: (5±1)mm per second (mm/s).
D) Degree of Squeezing:Ensure the voltage drops to 0V or achieves a deformation of up to 30%, or alternatively exert an extrusion force reaching 200kN.Back Stop:Cease squeezing immediately, and initiate a 1-hour observation period to verify compliance and ensure safety.
2. Battery Module Safety Test Procedure: The extrusion test is carried out with meticulous precision following these structured steps:1.1 Charge the monomer battery as outlined in the 6.1.4 method, performing tests under these defined conditions:
A) Choose the direction in which the battery module is most vulnerable to squeezing within the complete vehicle layout.If the optimal squeezing direction cannot be determined, apply pressure perpendicularly to the monomer battery for precise results.Pressure is applied systematically in the arranged direction (illustrated in Figure 3)
B) Form of the Extruded Plate: A semicircular body with a 75mm radius and semi-cylinder design,where the length of the extruded body exceeds the dimensions of the squeezed battery but is capped at a maximum length of 1m.
C) Squeezing Speed:: (5±1) mm/s
D) Degree of Squeezing: Aim for battery module deformation up to 30% or exert a force equivalent to the storage capacitywhich is 1000 times the battery module's weight. Refer to the highest value in Table 2, maintain this pressure for 10 minutes, and observe for 1 hour.
