It is imperative that the battery does not ig-nite or explode. The peak temperature must not surpass 150ºC.
Note: For wires such as copper, ensure resistivity and temperature coefficient are less than 5* 10-3ºC-1.
The temperature of the battery or battery pack under examination must stabilize, ensuring its shell reaches 55±2ºC, followed by maintaining the device at precisely 55±2.ºC, where the total external resistance during the experience is below 0. Operating under short-circuit conditions of 1 ohm, these conditions must be at the temperature of the battery or battery pack shell.This condition should persist for at least an hour after achieving 55±2ºC, with further observation of the battery or battery pack. The experiment culminates over a period of 6 hours.
