Cars are being used more and more widely in people's lives, and the application of automotive electronics technology has almost penetrated into all systems of cars. Currently, China has become the world's third largest automobile producer. Major global automobile manufacturers have already invested in and established factories in China. The main testing items for the environmental tests of automotive electronic products include:
(1) Power Supply Environment Test The power supply environment test includes direct current, overvoltage, superimposed alternating voltage, slow decrease and increase of the power supply voltage, interruption of the power supply voltage, reverse voltage, open circuit test, short-circuit protection, withstand voltage, insulation resistance, and electromagnetic compatibility, etc.
(2) Mechanical Environment Test The mechanical environment test includes sinusoidal vibration, random vibration, mechanical shock, free fall, surface strength/scratches, surface abrasion resistance, sand and stone impact, etc.
(3) Climatic Environment Test The climatic environment test includes constant temperature test, temperature change test, temperature cycle test, ice water impact test, salt spray test, damp heat cycle test, constant damp heat test, corrosion test of mixed gas overflow, solar radiation test, etc.
(4) Chemical Environment Test The chemical environment test means that the components and parts that may come into contact with the specified chemical reagents should resist the corrosion of these reagents. Guangdong MENTEK Testing Equipment Co., Ltd. started the environmental tests of automotive electronic products as early as 2003. Technical Parameters
1. Temperature Control Test Temperature range
-40°C - 80°C Temperature accuracy: When the vehicle is stationary, the uniformity of the air temperature inside the chamber is maintained within ±2°C.
When impacted by the thermal load of the test vehicle, it can be stably controlled within the set temperature. The temperature fluctuation of the control point 0.5 meters in front of the vehicle is less than ±1°C, and the temperature fluctuation of the general control points is less than ±2°C. There is no condensation phenomenon on the chamber wall within the temperature range of -40°C to 60°C.
Emission test: Absolute humidity (H) is 5.5 ≤ 12.2 gH2O/kg air. During the Euro 3/4 VI compliance test, the humidity inside the chamber should be low enough throughout the test period to prevent condensation on the drums of the chassis dynamometer.
When the temperature changes: Ensure that there is no frost formation. Performance test: When the air temperature in the test chamber is 25°C, the relative humidity is 50%RH ± 5%.
2. Test Load Range
The maximum external dimensions of the whole vehicle: 700*2200*2100mm, which can be customized according to requirements. The maximum equipped weight of the whole vehicle: 400kg. The maximum power of the engine: 300kW. The maximum air intake of the whole vehicle: 720m³/h. The highest temperature at the outlet of the sewage pipe is 350ºC.
The maximum heat dissipation of the whole vehicle: 3000kW. Drum tracking fan: Power is 100kW, wind speed is 260km/h, and air volume is 300,000m³/h. Fresh air supply volume
- When the temperature is -40ºC - 10ºC, the fresh air volume is greater than 1000m³/h.
- When the temperature is -10ºC - 0ºC, the fresh air volume is greater than 2500m³/h.
- When the temperature is 0ºC - 20ºC, the fresh air volume is greater than 3500m³/h.
- When the temperature is 20ºC - 30ºC, the fresh air volume is greater than 5000m³/h.
3. Humidity Control Test
It meets the requirements of the QC/T658-2000 standard
When the temperature is 38±1ºC, the humidity is 68±5%RH.
Continuous operation
When the temperature is 30ºC and the vehicle is in an idling state, the maximum heat dissipation of the whole vehicle is 25kW, the maximum relative humidity reaches 90±5%RH, and the continuous operation time is more than 1 hour. During the test, the environmental temperature and humidity can track the load changes, and the temperature change rate can be stably controlled within the set humidity.
Test of temperature change rate
- The longest time to heat up from normal temperature to +60ºC: no more than 3 hours.
- The longest time to cool down from normal temperature to -40ºC: no more than 3 hours.
4. Atmospheric Pressure Test inside the Chamber
Ensure that there is a slight positive pressure inside the chamber (short-term negative pressure is allowed) when the test vehicle is running stably, and an air pressure balance device is installed.
Sunshine Test inside the Chamber
Applicable temperature: 35-60ºC Sunshine light source: Full-spectrum bulb Installation form: Movable, with adjustable angle (more than 45 degrees) The sunshine intensity is not less than 1200W/m² ± 20W/m² (the average temperature on the horizontal plane at the height of the roof). The sunshine intensity can be controlled in sections, or can be adjusted as a whole; the control accuracy of the solar radiation intensity is ± 20W/m² (on the horizontal plane at the height of the roof).
5. Operation Test inside the Chamber
The system has a dual operation function of automatic control and manual control; during the test process, automatic/manual two-way and trouble-free switching can be realized. It can display the test process and test parameters in real time; display real-time curves; display and print real-time parameters.
1). The test data is stored in real time; the system has testing and self-diagnosis functions.
2). Safety Monitoring System In addition to controlling the fresh air through pressure balance, oxygen concentration and exhaust gas concentration, the laboratory is also equipped with the following safety measures

Size: Customizable Equipment
Features: The equipment is suitable for M-class and N-class automobiles equipped with spark-ignition engines (which can be extended to diesel engines in the future) and with a total mass not exceeding 3500kg to conduct emission regulation tests according to national and international working conditions.
During the test, it can provide environmental simulation conditions of -20ºC-45ºC (Engine displacement: maximum 6L; Vehicle speed: 120kM/H, which can be controlled at -20ºC during the test).
