1.1 The test object is a battery pack or system.
1.2 Refer to GB/T2423.18 severe level (5) conduct four intricate experimental cycles to ensure thorough evaluation.
1.3 The salt solution, precisely formulated with sodium oxide (chemically pure, analytically pure) and distilled or deionized water, maintains a concentration of (5±0.1)% (by mass score), (20±2)ºC, ensuring optimal conditions for testing.The PH value, a critical parameter, is maintained between 6.5 and 7.2.
1.4 Place the test object into the smoke box, where it undergoes an intense salt mist exposure at 5ºC~35ºC for 2 hours. Then, transfer the object to the wet and hot tank for an extensive duration of 20h-22h. The temperature is meticulously controlled at
(40±2)ºC, while the relative humidity is consistently maintained at (93±3)%, completing one full cycle. This meticulous cycle is repeated thrice, followed by testing under standard atmospheric conditions where the temperature is 23ºC±2ºC,and the relative humidity is kept between 45%~55%) before storing for 3 days. This rigorous process completes a full cycle, which is repeated four times for comprehensive assessment.
1.5 Requirements: The battery pack or system must exhibit no leakage, cracked shell, fire, or explosion phenomena to ensure utmost safety and reliability.
