1.1 The test object is a battery pack or system.
1.2 Refer to GB/T2423.18 severe level (5) carry out four experimental cycles.
1.3 The salt solution is expertly formulated using sodium oxide (chemically pure, analytically pure) blended with distilled or deionized water, attaining a concentration of (5±0.1)% (mass score), (20±2)ºC,with the PH value precisely measured to fall between 6.5 and 7.2.
1.4 The test object is carefully placed inside the smoke chamber, where it undergoes exposure to a salt mist at temperatures of 5ºC to 35ºC for a duration of 2 hours. Following the spraying phase, the test object is meticulously transferred to the wet and hot tank for an additional 20 to 22 hours, with the temperature regulated at
(40±2)ºC and a relative humidity of (93±3)%, completing one comprehensive cycle. This procedure is repeated three times, after which the object is subjected to testing under standard atmospheric conditions (temperature at 23ºC±2ºC,while maintaining relative humidity levels at 45%~55%) and stored for a period of 3 days, forming a complete cycle to be repeated a total of four times.
1.5 Requirements: The battery pack or system must exhibit no leakage, cracked casing, ignition,or explosion phenomena.
