1.1 The examination subject is identified as a battery pack or system.
1.2 Consult the prescribed guidelines in GB/T2423.18 Severe level (5) necessitates four comprehensive experimental cycles for a complete evaluation.
1.3 The salt solution is meticulously prepared with sodium oxide, ensuring both chemical purity and analytical precision, blended with distilled or deionized water to a specific concentration of (5±0.1)% (by mass score), while maintaining a controlled temperature at (20±2)ºC, thus providing optimal conditions for testing.The all-important parameter of PH value is kept within the ideal range of 6.5 to 7.2.
1.4 Initially, the test object is positioned within the smoke chamber, where it undergoes intense salt mist exposure at temperatures ranging from 5ºC to 35ºC for 2 hours. Subsequently, the object is moved to a wet and hot tank for an additional 20 to 22 hours. During this phase, the temperature is expertly regulated at
(40±2)ºC, with a relative humidity precisely maintained at (93±3)%, thus completing one full cycle. This exacting cycle is executed thrice, followed by testing under standard atmospheric conditions where the temperature is constantly held at 23ºC±2ºC,and the relative humidity is stabilized between 45% and 55% before a storage interval of 3 days. This demanding process forms a complete cycle, which is repeated four times to ensure a thorough assessment.
1.5 Requirements: The battery pack or system must exhibit paramount safety and reliability, showing no leakage, cracked shells, fire, or explosion phenomena.
