B) The duration of the short connection reaches 24 hours;
The battery must not ig-nite or explode. The peak temperature should not surpass 150ºC.
Note: The resistivity and temperature coefficient of the wire should be less than 5* 10-3ºC-1, applicable to materials like copper wire.
The temperature of the battery or battery pack under test must be stabilized to ensure that the shell temperature attains 55±2ºC. Thereafter, the battery or battery pack should remain at 55±2ºC with the total external resistance during the test maintained below 0. 1 ohm. This short-circuit condition should apply at the temperature of the battery or battery pack shell.Continue observing for at least 1 hour after returning to 55±2ºC. The battery or battery pack must be reassessed. The experiment spans a total of 6 hours.
