Relevant Standard Test Requirements
1. Safety Test of Monomer Battery: The meticulous extrusion test unfolds as follows: 1. .1 Initially, the monomer battery undergoes charging as per the 6.1.3 method and is subject to testing under these rigorous conditions:
A) Squeezing Direction: The force is applied perpendicular to the orientation of the battery pole plate (refer to Figure 1).
B) Plate Form Used for Extrusion: The plate features a radius of 75mm,crafted with a semicircular body, where its semi-cylinder length (L) surpasses the dimensions of the battery being squeezed.
C) Speed of Squeezing Process: (5±1) mm/s
D) Degree of Squeezing: The test concludes when the voltage drops to 0V, the deformation reaches 30%, or the extrusion force attains 200kN.Upon reaching the back stop,cease squeezing operations and maintain observation for 1 hour.
2. In a battery module safety test, the extrusion process is executed through these steps: 1. 1 Commence by charging the monomer battery as delineated in the 6.1.4 method, followed by testing under the ensuing conditions:
A) The direction which subjects the battery module to the highest likelihood of squeezing within the vehicle's layout is replicated.In cases where the most susceptible squeezing direction is indeterminate, it defaults to a position perpendicular to the monomer battery. Pressure application follows the predetermined arrangement direction (illustrated in Figure 3).
B) For extrusion, a semicircular body with a 75mm radius is employed, designed as a semi-cylinder.The body extends beyond the battery's length but remains within 1 meter.
C) Speed for Squeezing: (5±1) mm/s
D) Squeezing Degree: Assess when the battery module's deformation attains 30%, or the extrusion force meets the storage threshold,amounting to 1000 times the battery module's weight or the maximum figure from Table 2, sustain for 10 minutes, and continue observation for 1 hour.
