Relevant standard test requirements
Meet the standards: IEC.62133-2012,UL.1642,United Nations38.3 and 31241-2014 standard overcharging.
After dischargeing the battery according to the test method stipulated in 4.5.2. Use 3 first certification authority, and the manufacturer recommends a large value of 3 times the charging current. Charge to the test voltage of Table 6, and then charge with the constant voltage of the test voltage.
Overcharged voltage of different types of positive electrode materials (graphite is the negative pole)
Positive electrode material | Lithium cobaltate | Lithium manganate | Ternary materials | Lithium ferrous phosphate |
Overcharging voltage/V | 4.6 | 4.6 | 4.6 | 5.0 |
The test voltage for batteries of other material systems should be at least 4.6V.
Monitor the change of battery temperature during the inspection process. When the following two situations occur. At one time, the trial is terminated;
A) The continuous charging time of the battery reaches 7h and the larger value of the manufacturer-defined charging time;
B) The battery temperature drops to 20% lower than the peak value. The battery should not catch fire or explode.
