Battery electrical safety test:Carefully position the battery according to section 4.5.1 Once the battery is fully charged via the specified test method, it should be placed in a stable environment at a temperature of 20ºC±5ºC.As the battery temperature approaches 55ºC±5ºC in the controlled setting,Maintain the conditions for an additional 30minutes,then connect the battery's positive and negative terminals using a wire,Ensure all external resistances are consistently maintained at 80mΩ±20mΩ. Diligently monitor the battery temperature fluctuations throughout the testing process,The test is concluded upon meeting either of the following conditions.
A)The battery's temperature declines to 20% below its peak level;
B) The duration of the short connection extends to 24 hours;
It is imperative that the battery does not ig-nite or explode.The peak temperature must not exceed 150ºC.
Note:The resistivity and temperature coefficient of the wire should remain below 5*10-3ºC-1, suitable for materials like copper wire.
The temperature of the battery or battery pack under test must be carefully stabilized to ensure the shell temperature reaches 55±2ºC. Subsequently, the battery or battery pack should be maintained at 55±2ºC with total external resistance during testing kept below0.1 ohm. This short-circuit condition should be applied at the shell temperature of the battery or battery pack.Continue to observe for at least 1 hour after returning to 55±2ºC. The battery or battery pack must be thoroughly reassessed.The complete experimental duration is 6 hours.
