Battery electrical safety test: Position the battery in accordance with 4.5. 1 Once fully charged according to the prescribed test method, place it at a controlled temperature of 20ºC±5ºCUpon reaching an ambient temperature of 55ºC±5ºC, Let it sit for another 30Min, then link the battery's positive and negative terminals with a wire, Ensuring that all external resistances are maintained at 80mΩ±20mΩ. Monitor the battery's temperature fluctuations throughout the test, The test concludes when either of the following occurs.
A)The battery's temperature reduces to 20% below its peak value;
B). The short-circuit duration extends to 24 hours;
The battery must not ig-nite or explode. The maximum permissible temperature is 150ºC.
Note: The resistivity and temperature coefficient of the wire must be under 5* 10-3ºC-1, such as with copper wire, etc.
Ensure the battery or battery pack being tested achieves a stable shell temperature of 55±2ºC. Then maintain the battery or pack at 55±2.ºC, with the total external resistance during the test below 0. Short-circuit conditions at 1 ohm should be maintained at the battery or battery pack shell temperature.Continue for a minimum of 1 hour post returning to 55±2ºC. The battery or battery pack must undergo further observation. The experiment spans 6 hours to completion.
