1. Safety Test of Monomer Battery:The extrusion test is executed with meticulous attention, adhering to these comprehensive steps:1..1 Each monomer battery is fully charged following the 6.1.3 method and then subjected to rigorous testing under the following precise conditions:
A) Squeezing Direction:Pressure is applied perpendicularly to the battery pole plate's direction (see Figure 1 for visual reference).
B) Form of the Extruded Plate:Radius of 75mmThe extruded body features a semicircular form,with a semi-cylinder length (L) surpassing the dimensions of the squeezed battery, ensuring utmost accuracy.
C) Squeezing Speed: (5±1)mm per second (mm/s).
D) Degree of Squeezing:Achieve a voltage drop to 0V or a deformation reaching 30%, or apply an extrusion force up to 200kN.Back Stop:Cease squeezing immediately and initiate a 1-hour observation period to ensure compliance.
2. Battery Module Safety Test Procedure: The extrusion test is carried out with precision, adhering to the following structured steps:1.1 The monomer battery is charged according to the 6.1.4 method and then tested under these specified conditions:
A) Align with the direction in which the battery module is most susceptible to squeezing within the complete vehicle layout.If the optimal squeezing direction is indeterminate, apply pressure perpendicularly to the monomer battery for optimal results.Pressure is systematically applied in the arrangement direction (illustrated in Figure 3)
B) Form of the Extruded Plate: A semicircular body with a radius of 75mm and a semi-cylinder design.The extruded body's length exceeds the squeezed battery's dimensions but is capped at a maximum of 1m.
C) Squeezing Speed:: (5±1) mm/s
D) Degree of Squeezing: Achieve battery module deformation up to 30% or exert a force equivalent to the storagethat is 1000 times the weight of the battery module. Consider the maximum value listed in Table 2, maintain this for 10 minutes, and observe for 1 hour.
